서론 본 연구에서는 새로운 인지선별평가도구인 DemTect을 소개하고자 한다. DemTect은 경도치매와 경도인지장애를 발견한 정도로 충분히 민감하게 설계된 평가도구이다. 본론 2000년도 독일버전으로 처음 발표된 DemTect은 미국을 포함하여 세계 여러나라에서 사용되어지 고 있는 인지 선별검사도구로서, 5가지 하위 항목인 10개의 단어목록, 숫자 변환, 단어 유창성; 슈퍼마켓 과제, 숫자 거꾸로 외우기, 단어목록의 지연회상으로 구성되어져 있다. 평가 시 대상자 의 명령 및 학력 차이에 따라 교정 점수가 주어지며, 전체 최대 점수 18점으로 13∼18점 사이는 정상, 9∼12점은 경도인지장애, 마지막으로 8점 이하면 치매를 의심할 수 있다. 결론 DemTect 인지선별검사 도구는 경도인지장애 및 초기 치매평가 진단에 많이 사용되는 인지평가로 서 한국판 간이 정신상태 검사(MMSE-K)에 비하여 평가 시간이 짧으며, 반복된 사용에 의한 학 습효과에 영향을 받지 않기 때문에 치매 진단에 예민하게 사용될 수 있다. 따라서 세계 여러나라 에서 사용되고 있는 DemTect 인지선별검사 도구에 대한 한국어판 재정과 활발한 연구가 이루어 져야한다.
Introduction : In this paper, We introduce a new cognitive screening assessment tool DemTect. It is designed sensitive enough to find a mild dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Subject : DemTect was first published in 2000 in a German version. It is cognitive screening tools, including the United States, which is used in many countries around the world. Five tasks were included in the DemTect: a word list, a number transcoding task, a word fluency task, digit span reverse, and delayed recall of the word list. The DemTect helps in deciding whether cognitive performance is adequate for age (13–18 points), or whether MCI (9-12 points) or dementia (8 points or below) should be suspected. Conclusion : DemTect is highly sensitive screening tool to identify patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and patients with dementia in the early stages of the disease. DemTect screening tool running time is shorter than Mini-Mental State Examination-K (MMSE-K). Also it does not affect the learning effect by repeated use. So we can able to use to sharpen the diagnosis of dementia. We should publish DemTect Korean version and DemTect which is used many countries needs much more work to be done.
