연구목적 본 연구의 목적은 왼손잡이의 가위사용에 관한 연구를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구방법 2000년 1월부터 2010년 9월까지 Pubmed에 게재된 논문 중에서 “hand AND scissors”로 검색하여 체 계적 고찰을 하였다. 연구결과 Pubmed 검색결과 53개의 논문이 검색되었다. 연구자는 선정기준에 따라 8개의 논문을 선별하였다. 8 개의 논문 중 수술도구 중 왼손잡이의 가위 사용에 관한 연구가 4개(50.00%), 우세수에 따른 쥐기 패 턴에 관한 연구가 1개(12.50%), 우세수의 유전에 관한 연구가 1개(12.50%), 우세수와 성격과의 관계에 관한 것이 1개(12.50%), 우세수 사용에 관한 설문이 1개(12.50%)였다. 연구 결과처럼 완전히 왼손잡이 의 가위사용에 대해 언급한 논문은 없었다. 결론 왼손잡이의 가위사용에 관한 연구를 체계적으로 고찰했다. 연구 결과 대부분의 연구는 의료수술과 관 련된 연구이며, 일반 왼손잡이의 가위사용에 관한 연구는 없었다. 인간공학적 설계를 위해서 왼손잡이 에 관한 연구들이 활발히 진행되어야 할 것이라 생각된다.
Objective : The aim of the present study is to know about using left-handed scissors. Method : A systematic review in MEDLINE until January 2000 to September 2010 was performed. PubMed databases were searched using key terms relating to "hand" AND "scissors". Result : The 8 studies were included. In all of the included studies, the use of surgical scissors was the biggest part of these studies. The rate was 12.5% for the dominant hand, 12.5% for the relation between the dominant hand and personality, and 12.5% for using the dominant hand. Conclusion : Despite plenty of lefties, it is rare to study using the left hand. There was a lack of evidence in regards to left-handedness. Future well-designed clinical trials are needed.
