The purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship of spirituality and religiosity and psychological
adjustment. The subject of this study consisted of 360 undergraduate students. They completed Spirituality
Assessment Scale, The Religiosity Scale, The Self-Esteem Scale, Satisfaction With Life Scale, Intensity and Time
Affect Survey(ITAS), subjective well-being, Personal Feelings Questionnare 2, BDI: Beck Depression Inventory,
BAI: Beck Anxiety Inventory, Perceived Stress Scale(PSS). To examine the factors of spirituality and religiosity,
exploratory factor analysis was executed. The main results are ; (1) Spirituality Assessment Scale was composed 28
items, 4 factors(purpose of life, transcendent, internal resources, connetedness). (2) The religiosity scale was
composed was 12 items, 2 factors(public and private pray). (3) Spirituality and Religiosity factors are separate and
independent concept. Also, to examine the relation of spirituality, religiosity and psychological adaptation, partial
correlation analysis was executed. After spirituality was statistically controlled, religiosity was significant positive
correlation with psychological maladjustment(guilt, depression, anxiety and perceived-stress). Limitation and
suggestions for further research were discussed.
