본 연구는 대학생들의 자기 주도성이 다양성 수용도와 진로 역량을 매개로 대학 적응에 미치는 영 향을 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 충남의 한 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 260명을 대상으로 설 문을 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 설정한 가설 모형인 완전 매개 모형의 적합도는 양호한 것으로 나타났으며, 경로분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 변인들간의 상관 관계 분석 결과, 자기 주도성, 대학 적응, 다양성 수용도, 진로 역량 간 상관이 유의하였다. 둘째, 매개 분석 결과, 다양성 수용도, 진로 역량이 대학 적응에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 것이 확인되었으며, 자기 주도성이 다양성 수용도와 진로 역량에 의해 완전 매개 되는 모 형이 자료에 잘 부합되는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 자기 주도성이 다양성 수용도 및 진로 역량을 매개 로 하여 대학 적응에 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 것이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 대학생들의 자기 주도성이 대학 적응에 영향을 미치기 위해서는 다양성 수용도와 진로 역량이 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 시사한다. 이상의 연구 결과를 중심으로 대학생들의 진로 발달 및 대학 적응과 관련하여 교육 적 개입에 주는 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
This study examined the effects of college students’ self-directedness on college adaptation through the mediation of career competency and diversity acceptability. The data were collected from 260 college students using a survey and were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Fit indices of the proposed path analytic model were good. Results are as follows. First, there were significant correlations between primary variables of interest such as self-directedness, college adaptation, career competency, and diversity acceptability. Second, diversity acceptability and career competency had significant effects on college adaptation and also they had full mediation effects on the relation between self-directedness and college adaptation. That is, self-directedness indirectly influences college adaptation through diversity acceptability and career competency. These results indicate that career competency and diversity acceptability play important roles in the process where college students’ experience of self-directedness affects their adaptability to school.
