The purpose of this study was to investigate the canonical correlation between the sub-variables of
school organizational culture and organizational commitment of primary and secondary school teachers.
This study collected data from 509 teachers in primary and secondary schools located in Seoul, Korea.
Simple correlation analysis and canonical correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The
conclusions are as follows: First, the more primary and secondary school teachers were aware that the
level of clan culture and adhocracy culture of their schools were high, the more teachers perceived
that the level of affective commitment and normative commitment were high. Second, market culture,
one of school organizational culture types and continuance commitment, one of school organizational
commitment types were no canonical correlations with other sub-variables of school organizational
culture and school organizational commitment. Some implications of the study were also suggested.
