본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 간의 관계를 알아보는데 목 적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 S시에 거주하는 유아와 그 아버지 389명을 대상으로 아버지 양육참여 척 도, 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 아버지 양육참여는 사회․정서지원, 공동양육, 교육지원, 놀이․문화지원, 자기성장의 순으로 나 타났다. 둘째, 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 실태는 스마트폰 사용환경에서 일반 사용환경군에 속하고 스 마트폰 과몰입 증상도 일반 사용자군에 속하였다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 스마트폰 과몰 입 간의 관계는 스마트폰 사용환경과 스마트폰 과몰입 증상 모두 부적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타 났다. 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 양육참여와 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입의 관계를 파악함으로 써 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 예방을 위해 아버지의 적극적인 양육참여가 필요하다는 근거를 제시하였 다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 예방에 관한 부모교육이나 상담자료로 제시할 수 있다는데 연구의 의의를 가진다.
This study aims to investigate the relation between fathers' parenting involvement and children’s excessive immersion in smartphone in infancy. Accordingly, survey research was conducted using father’s parenting involvement scale and measuring children’s excessive immersion in smartphone scale for 389 fathers with children in early childhood stage residing city-S in Gyeonggi-do. The study results are as follow. First, types of father’s parenting involvement were found to be in the order of social & emotional support, joint parenting, educational support, play & cultural support and self-growth. Second, children’s smartphone use environment belonged to the user group in general environment, and the symptom of excessive immersion in smartphone also belonged to general user group. Third, as for the relation between fathers’ parenting involvement and children’s excessive immersion in smartphone, both smartphone use environment and the symptom of excessive immersion in smartphone showed a negative correlation. This study presented evidence that fathers' aggressive parenting involvement is necessary by understanding the relation between fathers' with infant children parenting involvement and children's excessive immersion in smartphone. And the results of this study can be presented education or consulting for parents on preventing children's excessive commitment in smartphone is significant.
