본 연구는 유아인성교육과 유아인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 활동에 대한 교사의 인식과 실태 및 요 구를 분석해 봄으로써 유아인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구대상은 D광역시 17기관의 사립 유치원에서 근무하고 있는 교사 149명으로, 수 집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석과 t검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교사들은 유 아인성교육이 현재 실시하고 있는 정도보다 더 강화될 필요성이 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 유아 인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 활동도 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으나, 현장에서 자주 실시하지 못하 는 것으로 나타났다. 유아인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 활동을 현장에서 효과적으로 적용하기 위해 필요한 것으로 교사들은 다양하고 구체적인 수업방법과 교재 및 자료 개발을 요구하였다. 그 밖에 유 아인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 활동에 대한 교수-학습 방법, 적합한 연령, 실시 횟수, 교사의 역할 등에 대한 방안이 제시되었다. 이와 같은 교사의 인식과 요구를 바탕으로 유아인성교육을 위한 연령 간 교류 활동이 효과적으로 현장에 적용할 수 있도록 프로그램을 개발하여 지원해야 할 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic resource for development of cross-aged transaction program of childhood character education by analyzing early childhood teachers' perception, actual condition, and needs on childhood character education and cross-aged transaction activities for childhood character education. The subjects were 149 teachers who belonged to 17 private kindergartens located in D metropolitan city and analysis of frequency and t-test using SPSS 18.0 program were applied for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the teachers recognized that childhood character education needed to be strengthened more in the future compared to current status. The teachers perceived that cross-aged transaction activities were required but those activities were not carried out frequently in the field. To apply cross-aged transaction activities effectively in the field, the teachers requested for various and specific teaching methods, materials, and resources. Besides, the methods including teaching-learning methods, appropriate ages, frequency of implementation, role of teachers, and et cetera were suggested. Based on teachers' perception and needs, cross-aged transaction activities of childhood character education need to be developed and supported for the effective application in the field.
