본 연구는 2009개정 교육과정에 따라 개발된 6종의 초등학교 체육교과서의 내용중 동작도전활동의 ‘평균대 운동’ 을 대상으로 Romey의 분석 기준에 근거하여 본문과 학습 자료로 나누어 분석하여 각 교과서가 교육과정이 추구하는 방침에 얼마나 부합하는지를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있었다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2009개정 교육과정에 따라 개발된 6종의 교과서 본문 내용은 전종 모두 ‘탐구 지향적인’ 유형으로 교육과정에서 추구하는 방침과 일치한다고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 6종의 체육교과서 중에는 ‘지나치게 탐구지향적’ 유형이거나 다소 ‘설명 중심적인’ 유형을 띤 교과서들이 있어 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다. 셋째, 2009개정 교육과정에 따라 개발된 6종의 교과서의 학습자료는 1개의 출판사를 제외한 나머지 출판사들은 대부분 ‘탐구적인’ 유형인 것으로 나타나 교육과정에서 추구하는 방향과 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 넷째, 학습 자료들 중에서도 ‘지나치게 탐구 지향적’ 유형이거나 다소 ‘설명 중심적인’ 유형을 띤 교과서들이 있어 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다.
The purpose of this study was to verify with the Romey's analysing criteria whether the 6 P.E textbooks were developed according to the policy of 2009 revised curriculum . To do this, the contents and learning materials were analyzed respectively. The results are as follows. First, the contents of 6 P.E text books are 'inquisitive' and matched with the policy of 2009 revised curriculum. Second, there are 'excessively inquisitive' or 'authoritative' one among the textbooks. Third, the learning materials of 5 textbooks excepting 1 textbook developed by the 2009 revised curriculum are 'inquisitive'. This means that most of the textbooks are well-written according to the policy of 2009 revised curriculum. Fourth, there are 'excessively inquisitive' or 'authoritative' learning materials. So, it is necessary for the learning materials to be improved. This study tried to analyse the balance beam exercise in the challenge activity of the textbooks. So, this study has limitations to interpret the results as all of the contents and materials of the textbooks. So, the analysis for the different activities or contents should be done in the future research.
