The purpose of this study was to verify with the Romey's analysing criteria whether the 6 P.E textbooks were developed according to the policy of 2009 revised curriculum . To do this, the contents and learning materials were analyzed respectively. The results are as follows.
First, the contents of 6 P.E text books are 'inquisitive' and matched with the policy of 2009 revised curriculum.
Second, there are 'excessively inquisitive' or 'authoritative' one among the textbooks.
Third, the learning materials of 5 textbooks excepting 1 textbook developed by the 2009 revised curriculum are 'inquisitive'. This means that most of the textbooks are well-written according to the policy of 2009 revised curriculum.
Fourth, there are 'excessively inquisitive' or 'authoritative' learning materials. So, it is necessary for the learning materials to be improved.
This study tried to analyse the balance beam exercise in the challenge activity of the textbooks. So, this study has limitations to interpret the results as all of the contents and materials of the textbooks. So, the analysis for the different activities or contents should be done in the future research.
