In this paper, we have described the overseas status of nuclear power reactors decommissioning project and prospect. Up to now, only eight(8) commercial nuclear power reactors in the USA have been completed its decommissioning stages over the world. About 138 nuclear reactors are currently in the decommissioning preparation and in the decommissioning process in the world. It is expected that the worldwide decommissioning business would be rapidly expanded in the nuclear industry and needs the commercial grade technologies in the near future. As we are well aware, the commercial operation of the Kori #1 will be shutdown in June 2017 and its decommissioning will be performed immediately in Korea.
