신입생들의 대학생활적응을 돕고자 대학마다 차별화된 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 동기유발학기는 K 대학교가 전국대학 최초로 실시한 신입생 동기유발프로그램이다. 본 연구는 동기유발학기 운영에 대하여 경영대학의 신입생들이 어떠한 반응을 보였는가를 분석하였다. 신입생들에 대한 반응은 동기 유발학기 시작 시점, 종료시점 및 1학년 1학기 종료 시점으로 나누어 비교하여 살펴보았으며, 나아가 동기유발학기 운영이 경영교육에 주는 시사점을 도출하였다. K 대학교의 동기유발학기는 혁신적 경영사고에서 태동한 교육혁신의 사례로서의 의미가 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 동기유발학기라는 새로운 동기유발프로그램이 대학 간에 공유되어 신입생들의 안정적 인 대학생활적응을 도모하는 데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.
The Motivation Semester of K University is a regular semester and special semester at the same time conducted for four weeks along with the entrance ceremony. This study analyzed what reactions the new students have shown on the operation of Motivation Semester. Especially, the reaction toward the new students was examined by comparison after dividing into the starting point of Motivation Semester, the ending point and the ending point of grade 1 semester 1. Furthermore, the implications of Motivation Semester operation on the management education were derived. The Motivation Semester has significance as a case of educational innovation that has begun from an innovative management thought. Through this study, the contribution in striving for a stable university life adaptation of new students is expected as a new motivational program called Motivation Semester is shared among universities.
