This study was conducted to identify factors that influence health-related quality of life in Korean
elderly. This study used a cross-section design with secondary analysis of Korean National Health and
Nutrition Examination Survey 2013. A total 777 participants aged 65 years and eldery were selected.
Health-related quality of life using EQ-5D, smoking, alcohol use, physical activity, food security index,
body mass index, mental health(perceived stress, depression, suicidal thoughts), health care(health screening,
cancer screening) were measured. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple
regression were conducted with SPSS/WIN 18.0. The results of multiple regression analysis showed physical
activity, mental health(perceived stress, depression, suicidal thoughts) significantly predicted health-reated
quality of life in Korean elderly, explaining 18.6% of the variances. In order to improve health-reated
quality of life in Korean elderly, it is important not only to enhance physical activity but also to provide.
