본 연구는 다문화 자녀의 우울증 경험을 예측할 수 있는 통계학적 분류 모형을 개발하였다. 2012 년에 수행된 전국다문화실태조사에 참여한 19세 이상 24세 이하 다문화 청소년 19,431명을 분석하였 다. 우울증상 경험을 결과변수로 설정하였고, 성, 최종학력, 거주도시, 한국어 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰 기, 다문화가족지원센터의 이용경험, 한국어 교육 경험 여부, 진로상담 경험, 사회적 차별 경험, 한국 사회 적응 교육 경험, 경제활동여부를 설명변수로 설정하였다. 분석 알고리즘은 QUEST를 이용하였 다. 최종 예측 모형의 구축 결과, 한국 사회의 적응 교육에 관한 경험, 한국어 교육에 관한 경험, 다 문화가족지원센터의 이용 경험, 성, 진로 상담의 경험 여부는 우울증 경험의 유의미한 예측 요인이었 다. 이 결과를 기초로 다문화 자녀의 우울증 경험 예방을 위한 체계적인 프로그램이 필요하다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affects the experience of depressive symptom in children in multi-cultural families. Data source of this study were from the 2012 National Survey of Multicultural Families. Subjects were 19,431 persons aged 19~24 years. A prediction model was developed by the use of a QUEST algorithm. Dependent variable was defined as experience of depressive symptom. Explanatory variables were included as sex, final education, residing place, speaking level in Korean, listening level in Korean, reading level in Korean, writing level in Korean, experience of having used Multicultural Family Support Center, experience of Korean language education, experience in consultation on education and career path, experience in adaptation education to Korean society, experience in social discrimination, and economic activities. In the QUEST algorithm analysis, xperience in adaptation education to Korean society, experience of Korean language education, experience of having used Multicultural Family Support Center, and sex, experience in consultation on education and career path were significantly associated with experience of discrimination in children in multi-cultural families. Based on this result, systematic programs are required for prevention of depression in multi-cultural youth.
