As 2014 KBS documentary panorama called ‘21st Century education revolution, in search of the future
classroom - magic of the flipped-learning' went on the air, flipped-learning in education has received a lot
of interest and attention. Flipped learning is a new education paradigm so that students can take initiative
in class, incur study motive and interest. Also, flipped learning can be combined with various types of
education types such as ICT education. In this study, in order to identify impact of flipped learning on
academic achievement of mathematics, we did experiment work for two groups, experiment group(26
students) and control group(26 students). While students in experiment group were applied with flipped
learning, students in control group were applied with traditional classroom learning. Research procedure
consisted of three steps, pre-test, flipped learning/traditional learning, post-test, respectively. After 15-week
experiment period, test results show that flipped learning is more effective than the traditional study for
academic achievement of mathematics.
