As we enter the age of knowledge management, learning organization is being recognized as one of the
most important strategic factors for enhancing personal and organizational competency. The purpose of the
research is to empirically prove the influence of learning organization in employees' job satisfaction and
organizational involvement. Furthermore, the research seeks to develop a plan for building learning
organizations in small and medium-sized enterprises, utilizing the data from this research. The sample was
drawn from 270 employees of K enterprise, located in city of Gwangju. The prime method of collecting
data was through a questionnaire. Excluding demographic variables, every data was measured according to
the Likert scale and analyzed through SPSS/PC. The result revealed that the different aspects of learning
organization discipline, such as shared vision, mental model, personal mastery, team learning and system
thinking, significantly influence the job satisfaction and organization involvement of employees. Also, it was
found that the sample group with higher level of learning organization discipline showed greater job
satisfaction and organization involvement when it was compared to the sample group with lower level of
the discipline. In conclusion, building of learning organization is critical in improving the employees' job
satisfaction and organizational involvement. Also, in order to build the learning organization, enterprises
must consider the external environment and internal competency to make this process
