연구목적: 본 연구에서는 대학의 전공수업에 창의적 사고기법을 적용하여 학생들이 해결해야하는 문제상황 들을 새롭고 남다른 사고전략으로 접근하도록 이끌어 주고자 하였다. 이를 위해 건축학과 학생들을 대상으 로 진행되고 있는 건축설계 스튜디오 수업에 창의적 사고기법을 비계설정 도구로 적용함으로써 이들의 창 의적 근접발달영역(ZPD)을 확장할 수 있는 방안을 마련하였으며 이를 통해 설계 분야 전공교육이 창의성과 함께 병행해 나갈 수 있는 발판을 확보하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 2014년 2학기 건축학과 1학년 건축설계 스튜티오 수업을 통해 진행되었다. 학생들에게 제공된 창의적 사고기법은 제시어판, 스토리보드, 픽토그램, 액티비티 다이어그램이었으며 이 기법들은 프로젝트 초기 단계에 제시되어 이들의 창의적 사고 활동을 촉진하도록 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 건축학과 전공 교과목 중 연구대상이 될 과목을 선정한 후, 교과목 관련 핵심적인 문제유형과 사례를 추출하였다. 이후 건축설계 스튜디오 수업에서 학생들 에게 제공되는 문제상황에 창의적 사고기법들을 어떻게 적용하고 어떠한 과정을 거쳐 제시된 기법을 통해 다양하고 구체적인 아이디어에 접근해 갈 수 있는지 나아가 창의적인 아이디어 산출에 최종 도달할 수 있 는지를 구체화 시켜 나갔다. 연구결과: 그 결과 많은 학생들이 비계로 제시된 창의적 사고기법을 통해 독 창적이고 색다른 아이디어들을 고안하였으며 그것을 실제 설계 작업에 적용하는 모습을 보여주었다. 즉 이 들의 창의적 문제해결능력을 촉진 발달시키고자 하였다. 이러한 시도를 통해 학생들은 건축설계 작업 활동 을 수해하는데 있어 형태적 표현을 위한 실기 중심의 활동보다는 새롭고 독창적인 문제해결 방안을 모색함 으로써 사고의 생산성을 높여 남다른 결과물을 도출하는 능력을 넓히게 되었다. 논의 및 결론: 창의적 사 고기법을 대학의 전공수업에 적용시킴으로써 대학 교육의 혁신 방안을 모색하기 위한 기초단계에 있는 본 연구에서는 연구대상의 범위가 건축설계 분야에 한정되어 진행되었다. 이렇게 얻어진 연구 결과는 학생들 의 창의성을 자극하고 이를 통해 학생들의 아이디어 산출 활동을 어떻게 구체적으로 도와줄 수 있는지 그 구체적인 교수방법에 대해 목말라있는 많은 교수들에게 실제 전공수업 상황 속에서 새롭게 적용될 수 있는 새로운 교수전략 모델을 제시해 줄 수 있었다.
Purpose: This study aimed at suggesting teaching and learning method to adopt creative thinking techniques for an architectural design studio class. Method: In this class students learned creative problem solving ability to enhance their creative thinking. A synergic method was applied in the architectural design classes. Research outcomes which are yielded in such a way develops the students’ creative thinking abilities. With this application of creative thinking techniques to the class, the research suggests new teaching learning strategies which can empirically be implemented major courses. Results: Several creative thinking techniques were implemented in the architectural design studio. This course was studied by the 1st year college students of the department of architecture. Through these many students devised unique and various ideas and reach the actual design work. Conclusion: Implementing creative thinking techniques such as speech mediator, story board, pictogram and activity diagram, it suggests the effective model for architectural design students to develop the ideas. Additionally, it has been discovered that the shape creating method with applying some kinds of creative thinking techniques would be more simultaneous than linear, which could be applied to shape developing in design process. It can be implied with this paper that more creative novel shapes could be developed if some creative thinking techniques are applied.
