본 연구는 초등학교 사회과와 연계한 진로교육 프로그램을 구안하여 적용한 실행연구 이다. 초등학교 5학년 한 학급을 실험군으로 하고, 그와 동질적인 특징을 갖는 다른 학급을 대조군으로 하여 처치도구를 적용하였다. 처치도구는 2009개정 사회과 교과서 5학년 수업 주 제와 SCEP(2016)를 연계하여 교과 통합적으로 구안하였다. 연구의 결과 동질성이 입증된 실 험집단과 통제집단의 사후 검사 결과에서 사회과 학습동기와 하위 요인인 관련성, 자신감, 주의력, 만족감에서 모두 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 유의미하게 높은 결과가 도출되었다. 또한 진로장벽 인식과 하위 요인인 자기이해 부족, 자신감 부족, 경제적 어려움, 미래에 대한 불확실성, 중요한 타인과의 갈등, 진로 및 직업정보의 부족에서 모두 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 유의미하게 높은 결과를 얻었다. 학생들의 학습 결과물과 참여자 관찰 내용 등 질적 연 구방법에 의한 분석 결과 사회과 학습동기 측면에서 사회에 대한 흥미도 증가, 사회과에 대 한 긍정적 인식 변화, 사회과와 자기 자신과의 관련성 획득을 진로장벽 인식 측면에서는 긍 정적 자아 이해, 진로선택에 대한 자신감 상승, 다양한 진로정보 획득 등의 반응을 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 초등 사회과와 연계된 진로교육 프로그램에 대한 제 언을 하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회과와 연계된 진로교육프로그램의 개발 및 보급이 더욱 활 성화 되어야 한다. 둘째, 초등학교 5학년 이외에 다른 학년을 대상으로 하는 프로그램이 개 발되어야 한다. 셋째, 교과와 연계한 진로교육에 대한 교사의 인식이 필요하다
This study is an action research that a career education program which is connected to elementary school social studies is designed and applied. A class of fifth grade in elementary school was used as an experimental group, and other class that has homogeneous characteristics with the fifth grade class was used as a control group, for applying treatment tool for this study. In the post-test results of the homogeneity proved experimental group and the control group, the experimental group had significantly higher result than the control group in their learning motivation of social studies and sub-factors such as relevance, confidence, attention and satisfaction. And, significant results were obtained regarding the perception of career barrier. Based on the results of the above research, suggestions for career education programs connected to elementary social studies are as follows. First, the development and dissemination of career education programs connected to social studies should be further promoted. Second, more programs should be developed for the third, forth, and sixth grade of elementary school besides the fifth grade of elementary school. Third, teachers should take part in the career education program connected to a curriculum more actively and change of their recognition about the career education program is needed.
