본 연구에서는 인성교육의 실천을 위한 토대 마련을 위해 인성의 하위요인들 간 상관관계를 분석 하여 인성교육이 어떻게 구성되어야 하는지 실천 방안을 탐구해보고자 하였다. 인성은 다양하게 정의 되어 왔으나, 일반적으로 사회성 및 도덕성과 관련된 인간의 품성으로 정의된다. 인성교육은 어느 시 대나 교육의 큰 화두였으며, 현대에 와서는 인성을 측정하고자 하는 노력들이 이어지고 있다. 본 연 구에서는 인성 측정도구의 하나인 한국교육개발원의 KEDI 인성검사지를 활용하였다. 연구대상은 경 기도 A고등학교 1학년 학생 62명이었으며, 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 인성 하위요인 간 정도의 차이는 있으나 서로 유의하면서 다소 높은 상관관계를 보이고 있다. 이는 인성 하위요인들이 서로 괴리되어 인성별로 다르게 길러질 수 없고, 교육에서 서로 상보적으로 다루어져야 한다는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 인성 하위요인들 중 특히 배려ㆍ소통과 사회적 책임이 다른 요인들과 상관관계가 높 은 결과를 보였다. 이는 두 가지 요인이 다른 요인들의 종합적 요인일 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.
This study tried to research practical plans about how character education is composed by analyzing correlations among character subfactors. Character have been defined as various meanings. However, character is generally defined as human nature related to sociality and morality. A KEDI character questionnaire, one of character measurement tools, was utilized in the study. The subject of the study was 62 first graders in A High School, Gyeonggi-do. And the conclusion was drawn as follows: First, the character subfactors are more or less similar with each other and the high correlations among them are shown. This means that the character subfactors cannot be built to be separated and different from one another and they should complementarily be treated in education. Second, among the character subfactors, care and communication and social responsibility showed the high correlations with other factors. This means that these two factors can be the comprehensive ones of other ones.
