The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships among emotional dissonance,
physical stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of elementary school teachers in physical
education class. In order to accomplish this study, the proposed research model was developed based on
the previous studies. Total 240 questionnaires were distributed to elementary school teachers at teacher
job training institute using a convenient sampling method. Among them, twelve questionnaires were
discarded because they were incomplete. there were 228 usable questionnaires. Data were analyzed with
frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor
analysis, and structural equation modeling using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 version. The
results of this study indicated that emotional dissonance had a significant impact on physical stress of
elementary school teachers in physical education class. Emotional dissonance didn't have a direct and
significant influence on their job satisfaction. Emotional dissonance negatively contributed to
organizational commitment of them. Physical stress didn't have a direct and significant influence on job
satisfaction and organizational commitment of them. Job satisfaction positively contributed to their
organizational commitment.
