This study analyzed the examination for selecting secondary school chemistry teachers that was conducted from
2014 to 2017. As the analytic framework, we used the assessment domains and contents that were presented by the Korea Institute
for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) for the five most basic prerequisite subjects for preservice chemistry teachers. We
also identified relationship between the question items and the school chemistry/science curriculum. The results indicated that
there were assessment domains and contents which were not involved in the question items of the examination for selecting secondary
school chemistry teachers. Also, several question items were not relevant to the school chemistry/science curriculum.
