The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a program making use of Bee-Bot, a
robot for coding, on children’s mathematical problem solving ability. As such, it aims to verify the
SW (Software) education that would be necessary for our society in the future and the effectiveness
of their activities. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted on 4 years children, where 15
formed the experimental group and 15 others formed the comparison group. For 13 weeks the
experimental group was made to do Bee-Bot based activities, while the comparison group made basic
nursing stage activities. The collected data were analyzed by covariance test (ANCOVA). The results
showed that a program uses the coding robot Bee-Bot, influence positively on the mathematical
problem solving ability. This indicates that a program making use of coding program can have a
positive effect on infants in early childhood, and in the future, it appears important to provide
information about children’s coding activities.
