본 연구는 4년제 교원양성기관의 학생들이 재학 중에 경험하는 학년별 갈등과 그 갈등을 야기하는 요 인에 대해 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 4년제 유아교육과에 재학 중인 1-4학년 학생 69 명이다. 자료수집 방법은 개별면담, 집단 면담과 같은 심층면담이 주가 되었고, 그림그리기, 연구자 저널을 참고하여 연구결과를 해석하는데 활용하였다. 연구결과, 경험하는 갈등을 학년별로 살펴보면 1학년은 학과선택결정과 학과 적응에 대한 갈등, 2학년은 유아교사로서의 자질과 적성 유무에 대한 고민, 3학년은 좋은 교사로서의 자질과 책임감에 대한 고민, 4학년은 졸업과 취업에 대한 고민과 관련 하여 갈등을 경험하고 있었다. 이러한 갈등을 야기하는 요인을 살펴보면 내적 요인은 예비교사의 불 확신, 교사역할에 대한 부담, 학과만족도, 교사효능감이고, 외적 요인은 가족을 포함한 주변 사람들 이라는 인적 요인과 유아교육과 학과 특성이라는 환경적 요인이 있다. 유아교육과 학생들이 재학 중 에 경험하는 갈등과 그 갈등을 야기하는 요인을 살펴보는 것은 현재 유아교원양성기관의 교육과정 및 운영에 대한 효율성 재검토를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the conflicts that pre-service early childhood teachers experienced and the factors that cause them. Participants were 69 undergraduate students from first year to fourth year. Data include in–depth interviews, participants’ drawing, and researcher 's journal. As a result of the research, in relation to conflicts experienced by the grade level, first years conflicted with the choice decision of the major, the second years were concerned about the competence as early childhood teachers, the third years were concerned about their competence and responsibilities as good teachers, and the fourth years were concerned about career and job. The factors that cause these conflicts are internal factors such as the uncertainty of the pre-service teachers, the burden of the teacher role, the satisfaction of the department, the teaching efficacy, external factors are the human factors such as the family members and the environmental factors such as characteristics of department of early childhood education. The results of this study provide implications for effective early childhood teacher preparation program and educational policy.
