일반적으로 창의성은 긍정적 의미를 함축하고 있지만 창의성은 잠재적으로 오용될 가능성 이 많다. 창의자의 의도와 관계없이 창의적 산물과 아이디어가 부정적으로 사용되기도 하고 고의적으로 타인이나 다른 집단에게 피해를 주기 위해 창의성이 활용되기도 한다. 이 논문에 서는 지금까지 창의성 연구에서 소홀히 되어 왔던 부정적 창의성과 악의적 창의성의 개념, 주 요 연구, 연구의 쟁점, 교육적 시사점 등을 선행 연구를 바탕으로 고찰하였다. 또한 창의성이 부정적 혹은 악의적으로 활용되는 것을 최소화하는데 필요한 연구 주제를 제안하였다. 창의성 은 인간의 자아실현과 사회 발전을 위해 계발되어야 할 특성이지만, 부정적 혹은 악의적 창의 성을 간과할 경우 창의성은 인간을 파멸로 이끌 수 있다. 따라서 창의성 교육 과정에는 창의 성의 어두운 면에 대한 충분한 이해와 더불어 창의성의 사회적 역할, 창의적 인물의 사회적 책임감, 도덕적 민간성 등과 같은 인성교육이 강조되어야 하며, 부정적 혹은 악의적 창의성과 관련된 개인의 특성과 환경 요인에 대한 연구 결과가 반영되어야 한다.
Generally, creativity implies a positive and benevolent meaning, but creativity has the potential for misuse. Regardless of the creator's intent, creative products and ideas are used negatively and creativity is used to deliberately harm others or other groups. I reviewed main researches about the negative creativity and malevolent creativity, and suggested the research issues and educational implications in this paper. In addition, I proposed research themes to minimize the negative or malevolent use of creativity. Creativity is a characteristic that should be developed for human self-actualization and social development, but creativity can lead to destruction if we are neglecting the negative or malevolent creativity. Therefore, in the course of creativity education, character education such as the role of creativity in society, social responsibility of creative person, and moral sensibility, should be emphasized along with a sufficient understanding of the dark side of creativity.
