If you look at the traditional culture and customs of Vietnam, you can realize similarities with our
country in lifestyle and rituals. This paper is based on the question, where does this similarity come from?,
and why did the two countries, which would not have any connections, share the same cultural code? In
order to find the answer, we would like to analyze the structure of Annual cyclical rituals in the two
countries. Annual cyclic rituals is a cultural phenomenon developed based on the ritual of farming, and it
refers to a special act of life, ceremonial act that is customarily repeated every year at a certain time.
Annual cyclic rituals is a basic culture in which the ethnic culture of a nation is fully integrated.
Therefore, if you analyze Annual cyclic rituals, you can see the life style, the natural view, the faith view,
and the cosmos view of the people of one country. In this paper, we will systematically compare and
analyze the overall structure of Korea and Vietnam, which have lived in double cropped culture. Based on
this, I would like to provide a basis for a deeper understanding of both countries and their peoples.
