세계화와 정보화 시대에 우리나라의 의료 환경은 많은 변화를 겪고 있으며 특 히 의료이용자들의 생활수준 증가와 수도권 지역의 대형병원의 증가 등으로 중 소병원의 경영이 날로 어려워지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 중소병원의 현실을 파 악하고, 행정직 근무자들의 직무만족도 및 이직의 원인들을 분석하여 중소병원 의 효율적인 경영에 도움을 주고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 연구 결과에서 행정직 근무자의 만족도는 평균 2.96점으로 다소 낮게 나타났 고, 특성별로는 남성, 40대, 기혼, 300병상이상, 차장․부장 이상, 이직 경험이 있 었던 사람, 10년 이상의 장기 근무자에서 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 이직율은 전 체 102명중에서 61명(59.8%)으로 나타났고, 이직의 원인으로는 보수로 인한 원 인이 가장 높게 나타났다. 따라서 병원 시스템의 재정비를 통한 운영비를 절감 하여 직원들의 급여 수준을 향상시켜 직원의 만족도를 높임과 동시에 환자들의 만족도를 높임으로써 중소병원의 효율적인 경영에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
It is the fact that small & medium hospitals are in financial difficulties due to improvement of users’ life standard and massive increasing of huge hospitals. Globalization also triggers this situation worse these days. In order to progress management and development of small & medium hospitals, the study is carried out to understand the present status of small & medium hospitals and exam administrators’ job satisfaction, and analyze reasons why employees in small & medium hospitals try to leave their jobs. According to the study result, the average of administrators’ job satisfaction is 2.96. Those who are male, in their 40s, working at the hospitals which have more than 300 beds, and working for more than 10 years, show their high job satisfaction. The total separation rate is 59.8% and the main reason of leaving their position is because of unsatisfied wage. Therefore, in order to improve efficiency of small & medium hospitals’ management, at first, hospitals should make an effort to save operating expense and then improve employees’ wage to satisfy them.
