It is the fact that small & medium hospitals are in financial difficulties due
to improvement of users’ life standard and massive increasing of huge
hospitals. Globalization also triggers this situation worse these days. In
order to progress management and development of small & medium hospitals,
the study is carried out to understand the present status of small & medium
hospitals and exam administrators’ job satisfaction, and analyze reasons why
employees in small & medium hospitals try to leave their jobs.
According to the study result, the average of administrators’ job
satisfaction is 2.96. Those who are male, in their 40s, working at the
hospitals which have more than 300 beds, and working for more than 10
years, show their high job satisfaction. The total separation rate is 59.8%
and the main reason of leaving their position is because of unsatisfied
wage.
Therefore, in order to improve efficiency of small & medium hospitals’
management, at first, hospitals should make an effort to save operating
expense and then improve employees’ wage to satisfy them.
