In addition to WHO, other countries have been pushing hard to come up with a plan to decrease the harms of youth alcoholism. Due to this trend, the domestic political importance is rapidly growing to increase the efficiency of youth alcohol policy. Also, considering the increase of teenagers' deaths in drink-related driving accidents and an analysis of domestic research on dropping the age children begin drinking, there is an urgent need for complementation and examination of youth alcohol policy. This paper will briefly review the current situation for the Korean drinking culture and youth alcoholism. Comparing with other nation's policies on teenager's drinking culture, the list and the problem of youth alcohol policies that our nations have will be analyzed. For solving the problems of the Korean drinking culture, an alternative action plan to decrease the harms of alcoholism will be suggested in this paper.
