본 연구는 초등학교 교사들이 생각하는 창의․인성에 대한 암묵적 이론을 살펴봄으로써 정 책적으로 제시된 창의․인성에 대한 개념을 이해하고 창의성과 인성을 겸비한 인재를 양성하 기 위한 교육적 기초를 마련하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구를 위하여 창의․인성교육 활성화 방안 연구에 제시된 창의성 요소, 인성 요소, 그리고 학습목표를 분석하여 초등학교 교사들의 창의․인성에 대한 암묵적 이론을 묻기 위한 문항을 제작하였고, 회수된 자료에 대하여 탐색 적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 초등학교 교사들이 생각하는 창의․인성에 대한 암묵적 이론은 인간관계 덕목, 확산적 사고, 창의적 동기, 도전정신, 그리고 창의․인성적 문제해결력 의 다섯 요인으로 구성됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 초등학교 교사들이 생각하는 창 의․인성에 대한 암묵적 이론에는 창의․인성교육에서 제시하는 창의성 요소와 인성 요소 뿐 만 아니라, 이 둘의 교집합을 이루는 부분도 포함하고 있다는 것을 나타내주는 것이었다. 이 와 같은 결과가 현 교육에 주는 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
This study identified elementary teachers’ implicit theories of Creativity and Character, to understanding the concept of Creativity and Character suggested politically and to develop an educational basis for fostering students who are creative and have great personality. For the study, researchers analyzed the elements of creativity and character suggested by Creativity and Character Education in order to design a questionnaire and executed exploratory factor analysis on the items. As a result, the elementary teachers’ implicit theories of Creativity and Character consisted of Interpersonal virtue, Divergent thinking, Creative Motivation, Challenge Sprit, and Creative and Character Traits to Solve Problem. The findings show that the elementary school teachers not only regard creativity and character related traits as vital components, but also consider the intersection between creativity and character as indispensible part of Creativity and Character Education. These results were discussed for the implication of current education.
