Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of psychological variables on cultural
competence in the structure of psychological capacity for the improvement of cultural cognitive ability. Method:
In this study, 483 persons with disabilities were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis
were conducted to confirm the relevance and influence of the psychological scale. The confirmatory factor
analysis was used to confirm the relationship between cognitive, process and outcome variables. Results: The
cognitive variables(multiple intelligence, ego-resilience) were highly related to process variables(motivation,
immersion, cognitive strategy) and process variables showed high influence(cultural competence) and high
influence. Also, the structural model of cognition, process, and outcome variables resulted in a meaningful
relationship structure. Conclusion: In this study, six psychological factors were analyzed for the improvement of
cultural cognitive ability of disabled people, and a cultural psychological structure model was derived. These
results will help expand the range of social and cultural awareness for people with disabilities, and it will be a
cornerstone for leading quality life together with positive thinking ability about social culture in general.
