본 연구는 특수교사의 교사 권리에 대한 이해와 교권 보장 실태에 대한 인식 조사를 통해 특수교사를 위한 교사교육과 관련 정책 수립에 필요한 정보를 제공하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 온라인 설문조사를 활용하여 전국 545명 특수교사의 응답 자료를 최종 분석하였으며, 특수교사의 교권에 대한이해와 교권 보장의 정도를 알아보기 위하여 기술통계(descriptive statistics)를 살펴보았고, 잠재변인으로서의 교권에 대한 이해와 교권 보장의 구조를 확인하기 위하여 확인적요인분석법(CFA)을 사용하였으며, 특수교사의 여러 가지 변인(성별, 교직경력, 근무지 유형, 근무지 설립형태, 근무교 소재지,교원단체 가입유무, 고용 형태)에 대한 교권 이해 및 교권보장 실태에 대한 인식 차이를 확인하기 위해 다중지표다중요인분석(MIMIC)을 적용하였다. 연구 결과, 성별, 교직경력, 근무지 유형, 근무지 설립형태, 근무교 소재지, 교원단체 가입유무, 고용형태에 따른 특수교사의 집단별 교권 이해에 대한인식과 교권 보장 실태에 대한 인식 차이가 구체적으로 확인되고 논의되었다.
The purpose of this study is to provide information on teacher education and policy-making through the survey on the perceptions of special education teachers’ rights and authority and their protection. Using a sample of 545 special education teachers across the nation that was collected through the online survey system, confirmatory factor analysis was utilized to confirm four-factor structure of the survey in the targeted population, and MIMIC modeling was then used to confirm the factor structure and examine population heterogeneity. The analysis focused on comparing teachers’ perceptions on the protection of teachers’ rights and authority as well as their understanding on it based on the several teacher variables such as sex, teaching experiences, types of schools, location of the school, types of school foundation, a membership of teacher union, and status of employment. Results are discussed to inform the research, service, and policy implications of the findings.
