본 연구는 장애학생의 중등이후교육 형태로서 특수교육 마을공동체에 대한 특수학교 학부모의요구를 조사하기 위하여 선행연구를 토대로 특수교육 마을공동체의 필요성 및 형태, 운영, 프로그램에 대한 설문지를 제작하여 경기도 관내 특수학교(국․공․사립)에 재학 중인 자녀를 둔 학부모1070명에게 학교급별(유․ 초․ 중․ 고․ 전공과)로 배부하였고, 결측치를 제외한 723부의 설문지를분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대다수의 특수학교 학부모가 장애학생의 중등이후교육을 위해 특수교육 마을공동체가필요하다고 인식하였고, 특수교육 마을공동체의 형태로 지역사회 통합형이 적합하다고 인식하였다.둘째, 특수교육 마을공동체 운영 시 당사자의 삶의 질에 가장 큰 가치를 두었고 연령구분이없는 통합형 마을공동체를 선호하였다. 특수교육 전문가와 사회복지(직업재활) 전문가가 반드시필요하고, 예산은 국가와 지자체가 공동으로 부담해야 하며 시설로는 치료지원센터와 장애인평생교육지원센터에 두기를 원하였다. 셋째, 특수교육 마을공동체 프로그램은 독립생활 프로그램으로서 안전과 건강에 대한 교육, 직업생활과 관련하여 직무 관련 기능 교육, 직업 전 교육,지역사회 일하기에 대한 교육, 치료지원 서비스와 관련하여 활동보조지원과 교통지원 외 행동중재에 대한 교육을 요구하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 장애학생의 중등이후교육으로서 특수교육 마을공동체 방향에 대하여 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate special school parents' needs about special education village community as post-secondary education. For this study, the questionnaire was developed to investigate special school parents' needs for form, operating, and education program of special education village community. The questionnaires were distributed to 1070 special school parents, 811 questionnaire were recovered. 723 questionnaires were analyzed except 88 questionnaires as missing data. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, almost all special school mother recognized that special education village community was needed for post-secondary education. they were considered suitable for community-integrated form. Second, if special education village community is operated, the purpose of special education village community should be promoting quality of life for students with disabilities. they thought that special education, social worker should be needed. They recognized that therapy center, life-long education center were needed and operating budget should be paid by the nation and local governments. Third, the education program of special education village community was consisted of independence life skill program(ex. safety and health), vocational skill program(ex. job duty), and theraphy support program(challenge behavior support). Comments on the directions of special education village community were discussed.
