This is a validation preliminary study for developing subjective quality of life scale for special education teachers. In this study, we used a survey which was taken by a total of 571 special education teachers from special schools, special classes and special education support centers. Through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory analysis, we were able to test validity and reliability, as well as confirm a goodness of fit model. According to the test results, scale was decided by 5 factors and 18 questions. The confirmed results of the goodness of fit model: CMIN/DF=2.43, GIF=.945, RMR=.018, RMSEA=.049, showed the absolute goodness of fit index to be positive.
The incremental fit index was also positive with its results being: NFI=.905, NNFI=.928, CFI=.941. The incremental fit index was also positive with its results being: AGFI=.925, PCFI=.769, PNFI=.739. The convergence validity was secured as the test statistic t-value, with its high-set standard capacity in each factor (over .60), were all synonymous with p<.01. Discriminatory validity was secured as the AVE(average variance extracted) value was higher than r2; and the construct validity was also confirmed when considering the composite reliability (CR) and AVE. The overall validity regarding the 18 questions was found to be relatively high with Cronbach α being at .833.
