세계화 및 다원화 시대에 과연 “지역공동체에 대해 말할 수 있는가?” 실제로 많은 사람들이 지역공동체의 중요성이 약화되고 있다고 인식하며, 공동체 의식의 결여상태는 사회질서의 혼란과 인간관계의 불신, 소외의식과 이기주의의 확산 등 제반 사회문제들을 낳고 있다. 그래서 현 시점에서 공동체 의식의 회복은 지역사회 환경과 구성원들의 건전한 발전을 위해 다시금 중요성이 강조된다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역사회구성원들이 더불어 함께 살아가야 한다는 공동체 의식의 재인식을 하기 위해 화이트헤드 유기체 철학의 핵심개념인 현실적 존재자의 해석으로부터 공동체 의식의 존재론적 의미를 살펴보았다. 사회구성원들의 연대의식에 기초하여 소속감, 다른 사람들에 대한 영향력, 가치의 공유를 통해 공동체를 유지하고 지속 발전시키려는 실천적 의식인 공동체 의식의 형성으로 인해 공동체의 형성은 서로 상호의존을 필연적으로 전제한다. 화이트헤드의 현실적 존재자(인간)는 다른 현실적 존재자와 분리되어 존재할 수 없으며 끊임없는 상호 관계 내에서 ‘파악’을 통해 ‘의미’를 가지게 되며 발전해간다. 현실적 존재자의 본질은 다른 현실적 존재자와 함께 함으로써 존재의 의미를 지니게 된다. 결국 상호의존성의 유기체적 관계를 맺는 인간공동체는 인간존재의 생활터전이며 공동체 의식이 인간존재의 존재론적 근거가 된다고 볼 수 있다. 급변하는 현 사회의 정황 속에서 공동체 의식의 재인식은 이해관계에만 얽매여 있는 비인간적 사회관계를 인간화시키려는 대안의식으로서, 현대의 사회문제를 극복하려는 사회의식 즉 실천적 의식으로서의 중요한 의의를 지니고 있다고 할 수 있다.
Nowaday our age is characterized by globalization and plurality, but nevertheless are you talking about \"what is the local community?\". Many peoples are actually perceive that the local community\'s importance had been weaken, and a lack of community sense produces many social problems as disorder of public order, distrust of human relationships, diffusion of alienated, selfish mind. So, the recovery of community sense have emphasized again, because it makes a sound development both environment and member in the community. In this context, I proposed that the member of community must recognize a community sense in terms of we need to live together. For this study, I reviewed the ontological meaning about a community sense, from the point of view Whitehead\'s organic philosophy, especially the point of view the \'actual entity\' is center concept of Whitehead\'s organic philosophy According to Whitehead\'s organic philosophy, there is nothing that exists independently but \'prehension\' exists in the mutual relations. In relation to actual entity, human being improved through \'meaning\'. It is shown well in the \'prehension\'. Actual entity is meaningful ontologically together with other actual entity in mutual relation. Accordingly, The human community in organic, interdependent relationship is ground for human being\'s life and the community sense has become the ontological reasons of human being. In rapidly changing circumstance of our society, The recognition of community sense will be contribute to provide that an alternative consciousness transforming inhuman public relation into humanization.
