This paper analyzed the items of student evaluation questionnaire to test validity and reliability of items and to explore the characteristics of items for English mediated courses(EMC) offered in a university. For the study, 407 stuents participated in the course evaluation for general education and major subjects. The questionnaire included 10 items and each item has the format of 5 point scale. The content of the items were course objectives, instruction speed, text and references, instructional materials, tasks and tests, students\' English ability, students\' understanding of instruction, English improvement, degree of subject knowledge acquisition, and intention of taking another EMC.
The result showed that the items were valid and reliable for evaluating English mediated courses. It was found by the factor analysis that student evaluation consisted of two factors: instructor and student. The comparison of item scores suggested that students should improve their English abilities to understand the content of courses. The correlation analysis for item scores revealed that students\' satisfaction was most related with the acquisition of knowledge. Meanwhile, there was only one item, which was about the usefulness of instructional materials, showing a significant difference between general education and major courses.
