가족 특히 부모에게의 장애아의 발생은 심리적 불안감과 더불어 사회경제적 문제를 가지며 사회적 활동도 많이 위축된다. 그리고 이러한 장애의 심각성이 부모의 스트레스를 유발시키며 부모의 스트레스 또한 삶의 질에도 영향을 미치며 삶에 질에 대한 연구는 주로 심리적 안녕감을 중심으로 이루어진다. 한편 부모를 생각하는 존재로 인식 하기 시작함에 따라 부모의 양육행동을 부모가 어떤 생각을 가지고 있는지에 관심을 두게 되었다. 따라서 장애아동 부모의 양육스트레스와 심리적 안녕감, 그리고 장애아동의 부모의 장애인식 간의 관계를 살펴 볼 필요성이 있다. 그 결과 장애아동을 둔 어머니의 장애에 대한 인식과 자녀의 장애에 대한 인식, 양육스트레스, 그리고 심리적 안녕감이 서로 밀접한 상관성을 지니고 있고, 자녀의 장애에 대한 인식을 포함한 장애에 대한 인식이 양육 스트레스와 심리적 안녕감을 설명하는 중요한 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 그래서 장애아동 어머니의 양육 스트레스 감소시키고 심리적 안녕감을 증진시키기 위한 접근에는 장애아동 어머니의 장애에 대한 인식 및 자녀가 가진 장애에 대한 인식의 개선이 매우 중요하며 장애아동 어머니의 장애에 대한 인식의 개선을 위해서는 심리 ,사회적인 지원 및 지역사회의 장애에 대한 인식이 선행되어야 할 것이다. 왜냐하면 장애아동 어머니의 장애에 대한 인식에는 사회로부터의 전반적인 지원과 인식이 많은 영향을 미칠 것으로 추측되며, 경제 , 문화적인 지원 또한 중요한 영향을 미칠 것이다. 그리고 향후 연구에서는 장애 인식과 양육스트레스, 그리고 심리적 안녕감이라는 요인들 중 매개변인과 종속변인을 밝히는 이론적 ,경험적 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
The appearance of handicapped child in a family bring about psychological anxiety of parents and psychosocial problems to the family, and withdraw them from social activity. The present of handicapped child give rise to stress of parents of the child, and stress of parent induced from handicapped child influences to quality of parent\'s life. On the one hand, the research for quality of life be focused in mainly psychological well-being, and focused on parenting behavior of parents. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relation of mother\'s general perception of disability and her child\'s disability, parenting stress, and psychological well-being. The instruments used in this research were Adjective Scales to evaluate perception to handicap, Disability Recognition scale, Index of Well-being, Satisfaction with Life Scale, and Parenting Stress Index. Analysis methods applied in this research were correlation analysis and regression analysis to identify relations among a score of Adjective Scales, Disability Recognition scale, Index of Well-being, Satisfaction with Life Scale, and Parenting Stress Index. The results of this research were as followed: (1) Mother\'s general perception of disability and her child\'s disability was significantly correlated with mother\'s parenting stress and her psychological well-being. (2) Mother\'s general perception of disability and her child\'s disability was influenced to mother\'s parenting stress and her psychological well-being. These result suggest that approach to reduce parenting stress and improve a mother\'s psychological well-being must be considered the mother\'s general perception to the disability and her child\'s disability. For improvement of perception of mother with handicapped child, it require a psychosocial supports to the family with handicapped children and improvement of perception to handicapped children in community.
