In modern China, higher film instruction is now in the ascendant and Filmology has been developed at high speed. Be closely related to these, higher film instructor are paying a good deal of attention to research film critic. On the basis of much positive material, the thesis is try to introduce this situation of higher film instruction and film critic comprehensively and distinctly, which is expected to promote the interchange of film and television arts between China and Korea. The first half of this thesis introduces classifiedly the key universities and the scientific research institutions which have offered courses in film, and their specialties about film art. It gives a brief account of these which subject film belongs to, the film courses offered for undergraduates and graduate students, and the perspective of Filmology. The second half of this thesis has a detailed discussion on the concept , characteristic , theoretical methods, types and background of research film critic. It comments on the writers and their composition of the quality, and enumerates the writings about film critic which have been published in recent ten years.
