The purpose of this study was to find out the status of poorly-fed children, and to recommend efficient service program. The research sample was 225 children who were being supported by welfare center in Seoul. The results are as follows : The subjects need food materials(49.7%), agriculture products voucher(41.9%), meal delivery(7.7%), luncheon voucher(0.7%), but most organizations prefer meal delivery or luncheon voucher. Based on the above findings, We suggest the follows. First, It is required to provide various method for poorly-fed children, and support of food materials is more efficient than other supports. Second, The government and other civil organizations should take an interest in psychological, emotional intervention as well as support of meal for the poorly-fed children. For this intervention, community welfare center should combine other organizations. Third, for the poorly-fed children, it is necessary to consider their self-respect and the food service program should be careful not to hurt their pride.
