The final purpose of this thesis is to examine the relationship between oral literature and global, or globalism and oral transmission literature. The relationship is based on two premises. The first is the change of period and historicity in the present time, and the second is the change of direction of culture and social current. For attaining the goal of the thesis, the notion of ‘global(or globalism)’ and the meaning and function of ‘folklore’ and ‘oral transmission literature’ must be newly examined in the first place. Of course, the tendency of post colonialism must be considered simultaneously, when discussing the property of regionalism, globalism, folklore and oral transmission literature. Hereby, folklore culture, including oral transmission literature, is forced to be a standard for a new colonial liberation. On the hand, the new regionalism, globalism and localism must be discussed in connection with the tendency of postmodernism and so-called ‘globalism’, the term which names the disposition of these days. The proposition also can be applied to oral transmission literature. The folklore and the oral transmission literature can be also discussed in relation to ‘the extended global’ and the ‘globalism’, side by side with groping for the notion of extended and central global. That is, for establishing ‘glocalism’, which is the compromise between globalism and localism, internal localism must be examined first of all. From the view of the essentiality like above, new location of folklore and oral transmission literature can be newly established. On the other hand, ‘ecology’(or ‘ecoculture’) of the present time also must be examined. It must be remembered that the environment and the nature are an important provincial material or a regional culture. Ecology snd ecoculture make the notion of the community of men, coexisting with ecological environment, and without them, the community of men may collapse or malfunction. At the same time, it is necessary to get a recognition that the new global and globalism must be grope on the assumption that the present time is the era of industrial society which has mass consumption tendency, and the age of leisure culture. Also, it must be considered the way that folklore culture including oral tradition become new products. This is the very ideological main axis that forms korean global in the open period. Through it, the korean folklore can suggest the new horizon in the era of globalism and the world globalism of Korean can be outstanded over the others.
