The typological work of folktale and folk-painting with theme of tiger is priorly needed to survey the characteristics of collective unconsciousness concerned with human beings who have been enjoyed folktale and folk-painting with theme of tiger.
The folktale and folk-painting with theme of tiger would be classified by the way of viewing tiger. The dichotomous perspective such as distant/near, objective/subjective, animalize/humanize would be useful. In this respect, the way of viewing tiger could be classified by three, that is, (1)objectified terrified tiger (2)subjectified humanized tiger (3)mixing shape of the two. Among these, humanized tiger is described on the one hand by the super being with predicting power, great physical energy and intelligence. On the other hand, humanized tiger is described by virtuous gentleman but foolish and humorous.
Humanizing the tiger as a wild and brutal animal reflects the human being\'s thought that hope to be reversed the situation which actually tiger attacks and kills human being. It is a psychological replacement occured by human being\'s eager desire. Considering the circumstance, it is assumed that the common people in middle and lower class who have been enjoyed folktale and folk-painting with theme of tiger, has broad-minded attitude enough to tolerate ruling class squeezing themselves on the one hand, and of course criticize the ruling class on the other.
