본 연구는 유아교육기관에 자녀를 둔 비취업모와 취업모를 대상으로 가정에서의 유아 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 인식을 알아보고 비교하는 것이 목적이다. 연구 결과 첫째, 유아컴퓨터 활동 현황에 대해서 비취업모 가정과 취업모 간 차이는 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 비취업모와 취업모는 CD-ROM Title사용에 대한 인식은 낮았지만 인터넷활용에 대한 인식은 높은 편이었고 무료사이트를 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 두 집단은 유아컴퓨터 교육 필요성 인식은 높은 편이었으나 바람직한 유아컴퓨터 활동 시기에 대해서 비취업모가 취업모보다 늦게 시작하는 것이 적절하다고 보았다. 유아컴퓨터 활성화 방안으로 유아교육기관과 지역사회에서 유아컴퓨터교육에 대한 어머니의 지식 및 기술을 증진시키고 인터넷 역기능 예방과 대처에 실제적인 도움을 주는 부모교육프로그램이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다.
This study have an intention of comparing the recognition about the young children\'s computer education from the family of unemployed mother with employed mother who put the children in the infantile educational institution. The result showed that recognition of the children\'s computer active status have no meaningful difference which considers statistically with unemployed mother and employed mother. The recognition of the unemployed mother and working mother about the use of CD-ROM Title was low, the recognition regarding the Internet application was the high side. The result showed unemployed mother and employed mother content with the Internet site which the children use and they use a free site plentifully. The recognition regarding the necessity of the young children\'s computer education was the high side, and the difference of recognition for desirable computer activity time was under considering statistically with the unemployed mother and employed mother. It was investigated with the fact that the actual parents educational program for mothers knowledge increasing, prevention of the Internet\'s side effect and making the disposal method that provided from the infantile educational institution to activate the infantile computer education is necessary.
