This study was about how the people of society see the disabled. To do so, this study have compared and analyzed the image of the disabled seen in movies. For these analyse, this study used three analysis tools such as Theoretical Models of disability, Social Construction of Target Population, and Media Framing. Frist of all, according to Theoretical Models of disability which is composed of two sub-theories - Social Model and Medical Model - , it was analyzed that most of movies are produced in accordance with the Medical Model. Second, in accordance with Social Construction of Target Population which is consist of three-sub theories such as Dependent Group Model, Minority Group Model, and Model of Human Variation, most of movies belong to Dependent Group Model. Finally, Media Framing procedure goes along with three stages. At the first stage, namely the stage of Media Frame, most movies belong to Human Limitation Frame. At the second stage, namely the stage of View Choice and Emotional Involvement showed the view point of the non-disabled and high emotional involvement. At the last stage, namely the stage of Prejudice about the disabled and motivation to the settlement of the matter, most of movies show a bad stereotype stemmed from the prejudice to the disabled and negative emotion. In conclusion, this study suggest that in order to renew the image of the disabled, Social Model, Model of Human Variation and Human Variation Frame should be used and that many movies produced in the view point of the disabled.
