This study is a single subject experimented research to find the effect of the self-control learning strategy on the defective behaviors of children with ADHD. In order to solve these learning issues, it has been carried out a total of 16 times three times a week to 40 minutes per session for 6-weeks, with an object of three children with ADHD who attends 3th-grade at W elementary school in Ul-San Metropolitan City. The experimental instruments have been applied using the self-control learning strategy program by Myung-Ok Kim(2005) and Joon-Mok Yang(2006) base on self-control learning strategy of 14 sort, develped by Zimmerman & Martinez-Pons(1986, 1988). the result has been analyzed in parallel for a data process using a table and a bar graph, and the overall changes in those children appeared every sessions have been recorded, observed, and qualitatively analyzed. The conclusions derived from the result of this study were as follows. Firstly, the self-control learning strategy is efficient to lessen the impulsion of the children with ADHD. Those children have formed attitudes of selecting and organizing learning attitudes and environments in terms of the scholastic achievement, therefore leading to decreasing in the level of such impulsions as a breakaway and an over-action. Secondly, self-control learning strategy is efficient to improve the self-control ability of the children with ADHD. Through planning, organizing, and evaluating by themselves, all of those children have been internally induced to change in their behaviors, therefore leading to actual changes.
