이 연구의 목적은 중학생의 가치관, 자아개념, 행동적 자기조절학습전략 변인들 간의 관계 분석을 통해 가치관 교육의 중요성을 논의하기 위한 것이다. 이 연구는 한국교육개발원의 종단연구(KELS) 중 중학교 3학년 자료를 이용하였으며, 무응답과 불성실한 응답을 제외하고 6,568명의 자료를 최종적 으로 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 사전분석으로서 가치관, 자아개념, 행동적 자기조절학습전략에 대해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 후 추출된 하위요인들의 문항 간 신뢰도(Cronbach's alpha)를 제시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 21을 사용하여 기초통계 및 상관분석을 수행하였고, Mplus를 이용하여 부분매개 모형의 경로분석을 남녀 집단별로 실시하여 남녀 집단별 경로계수가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보 이는지를 살펴보았다. 남녀학생의 개인 지향적 가치관과 공동체 지향적 가치관이 행동적 자기조절학 습전략에 직접적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 여학생의 경우, 공동체 지향적 가치관이 학업 자아개념과 가족 자아개념의 향상에 미치는 영향력이 남학생에 비해 컸다. 남녀학생 모두 학업 자아개념이 행동적 자 기조절학습전략에 미치는 영향력이 크게 나타났고, 가족 자아개념과 사회 자아개념의 행동적 자기조 절학습전략에 대한 영향도 확인되었다. 또한 남녀학생 모두 공동체 지향적 가치관은 학업 자아개념을 매개로 행동적 자기조절학습전략 사용에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이 연구는 중학생의 가치관, 자아개 념, 행동적 자기조절학습전략의 관계 분석을 통해 가치관 교육의 중요성과 교육적 시사점을 제시하였 다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

영문초록

The aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship among values, self-concepts, and behavioral self-regulated learning strategies of middle school students and examine whether the patterns of the relationship among the variables vary by gender. The sample of the study includes a total of 6,568 senior middle students of Korea Education Longitudinal Study after discarding random or missing responses. As a preliminary analysis, this study conducted exploratory factor analyses to examine the factor structure of the key variables and provided reliability coefficients. The path analysis results showed that students' personal-oriented value and communal-oriented value were directly associated with the use of behavioral self-regulated learning strategies. Academic self-concept as well as family self-concept and social self-concept were positively associated with the use of behavioral self-regulated learning strategies. We found significant gender differences in the relationship between communal-oriented value and academic self-concept. Female students showed stronger associations between these variables than male counterparts. Also, it was shown that communal-oriented value significantly affected learning strategies through academic self-concept. We also discussed the implications of the study for value education.
