The purpose of this study is to confirm the necessity that museum itself plays a role not only art education but also the objects and the methodologies. And this Study suggest a plan to develop the program of art museum education. Through analyzing of foreign museums, art museum education for children carried out the education that came with the presentation and the understanding and that achieved sensitive education by raising of balanced human. The study investigated the various types of educational programs in art museum in Korea, in USA, in French. the finding of this study are as follows: Firstly, art museum should no longer be a place where things are just exhibited but be a cultural space for the public as lifelong educational institute. Accordingly the art museum education is very important for children who will be the subject in the future. Secondly, the art museum education should be encouraged by the government. The department of education should be interested in developing of educational programs in art museum. Thirdly, the educational programs related to school education are hardly found and mostly the even-centered. In addition, practical educational programs should be developed with the programs related to appreciate the museum\'s collection of curios and exhibition.
