The purpose of this study is to suggest a lesson model for the democratic citizenship education. this lesson model is group decision-making model based on the Raus & Remy\'s group decision making model. The outline of this group decision-making model is as follows: 1. Level of the lesson: grades 4-9. 2. Duration: Approximately two periods. 3. Objectives of the lesson: (1) Students will learn to use three different ways of making-group decisions, namely, consensus, authority, and voting. (2) Students will identify advantages and disadvantages of each way of deciding. 4. Step of the lesson (1) Step 1: Presentation of the lesson objectives (2) Step 2: Decision making by consensus (3) Step 3: Class discussion (4) Step 4: Decision making by authority (5) Step 5: Class discussion (6) Step 6: decision making by voting (7) Step 7: Class discussion (8) Step 8: Drawing up the group decision and evaluation chart (9) Step 9: Class discussion (10) Step 10: Summarizing and concluding The suggestions of this lesson model for the democratic citizenship education as follows: In a free society citizens must have the knowledge and skills to decide many ways. A discussion of the best and worst ways to decide in each occasion can reinforce students\' knowledge of decision making. If students discover no one way of deciding is necessarily always best, teachers have succeeded in a complex learning task.
