이 연구의 목적은 사회 구성주의 관점에서 동료평가의 이론적 배경을 탐색 하는 데 있다. 이 연구는 문헌 연구로 다음과 같은 절차에 의해서 이루어 졌다. I장에서는 사회 구성주의 관점에서 동료평가의 필요성에 대해서 문제를 제기하였고 Ⅱ장에 서는 전통적 수업에서 동료와의 경쟁 중심, 개인 중심 수업을 비판하기위해 사회 구성주의 관점과 학습관에 대해서 검토하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 사회 구성주의 학습관과 관련하여 동료조력학습(PAL:peer asisted learning)의 효과, 특성,사회적 기술 등의 이론적 탐색을 시도하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅲ장의 논의를 바탕으로 동료와의 상호작용 수업을 할 수 있는 실제적인 절차와 이에 따른 초등 체육 수업시간에 실행할 수 있는 동료평가를 도구를 소개하였다. 이상과 같은 논의과정을 통해 다음과 같은 시사점을 발견하였다. 첫째, 동료평가 도구 활용은 체육수업에서 학생과 교사간, 학생과 학생간의 적극적인 상호 작용 효과와 수업에 집중을 가져올 수 있다. 둘째, 동료평가 도구는 단순하면서도 핵심적인 내용을 포함해야 하며 짧은 시간 에 처리할 수 있게 구안되어야 할 것이다. 셋째, 동료평가도구 활용에 있어서 사전에 조력자와 피 조력자간의 사회적 기술에 대해 훈련이 요구된다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the theoretical background in the perspective of social constructivism. The study is composed of review of literature. In the second chapter, social constructivism was introduced to criticise competition and individual centered instruction in traditional physical education class. The third chapter dealt with the effects of peer assisted learning and social skills. The fourth suggests practical procedure which introduce interaction between peers on the basis of discussion of the third chapter and introduce how to use peer evaluation in physical education class. Through above discussion, the following suggestions were found. First, the use of peer evaluation system facilitated the interaction between students and teachers, and among students. Thus, students can pay attention to instruction. Second, peer evaluation system should be simple and contain core points so that teachers can evaluate in a short period of time. Third, helpers and the person being helped need training in social skills.
