This study was to systematically analysis and develop a group counseling program based in transactional analysis for enhancing self-efficacy and decreasing burn out for staffs who work in the in the senior care facility. So the authors set the TA theory based program and test efficacy of the program. The program was practiced every week for 9 weeks. And each session lasted for 2 hours. The participants of the program were 25 staffs who employed in the senior care facility and needed to be increased their self-efficacy. 25personnels were analysed. Among the 25 participants, 13 of them were arranged to the experimental group and 12 of them were included to the control group. The scores of the two groups at the point of pre-test, post-test were analysed and compared through the Wilcoxen matched pairs signed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. the results were as followed. First, the program had an efficacy at the cure of the sentimental exhaustion and the depersonalization toward the client which burn out to the subordinate area. And it had developed significantly the self-efficacy. We have observed also at the post-test that the average of the experiment group has more developed than that of the control group. The post score of 9 persons among the experiment group of 13 persons was higher than the pre-test. It means that the program was very efficient. In the sens, we have remarked that the group program according to the TA help not only to give the centers-workers the empowerment, but also to improve the quality of the service of the social welfare. Finally, our study helped us to see the possibility of the various application of the TA.
