The purpose of this paper is three-fold: First, given the limited energy resources worldwide, the world is concerned about the depletion of fossil fuels and makes an orchestrated effort to discover alternative energy resources across countries. Thus, with the relevant review of literature, the paper stressed the importance of energy education in K-12. Second, with a lack of appropriate energy education curriculums and activities for renewable energy education, this paper introduced an instruction of wind energy, as an example, based on a 4E × 2 instructional theory in K-12 classroom settings. Third, as the education of renewable energy is often provided as a project, this paper introduced one project to see how K-12 education about the renewable energy is implemented in schools. Suggestions are made to promote the development of a good curriculum for renewable energy education at the end.
