This research focuses on how much the films reflect the regional characteristics and the cultural aspects and how the image of the region is reflected in the films. In additional, this research describes the interrelation between the region, for exemple Gyeongnam province, and the films.At first, for collecting research materials, we classified the status of films that is made in Gyeongnam area beyond 2000 by regional groups on the basis of the relevant materials such as film, documents which are offered from the administration and Film Commission of the region. Setting out a logical argument, this study is developed at the macro level before the micro level to devide the films into two groups. The first group is the films that are made in the region as a simple background which cannot clearly represent any regional characteristics, so it is no different from the films which are made in other provinces. The second group reflects the regional characteristics and the cultural aspects with the regional language and way of life in that area.
