Action learning, which begins from a method for organizational development in
enterprise, has been recently applying for college classes as well as many training programs.
This study is as a formative study, to analyze a lecture for educational administration
utilizing concepts and procedures of action learning, especially from design to management,
and to suggest management strategies for classes. Research questions are the following:
1)how do students experience in the class and evaluate the class?, and 2)based on action
learning, what are strategies for management in college classes? To answer these questions
this study selected a class for educational administration in Fall 2010. Students in this class
tried to propose solutions for authentic problems requested from the school administrator
during 6 weeks, and their solutions were evaluated. This study organized students’
experience and evaluation, and also suggested management strategies for classes utilizing
action learning.
