Experts in educational administration, who take the lead in that field, play a critical role in
educating sector, as their way of thinking, attitude, competence, qualifications, insight and leadership
have a firsthand impact on the development of education and its quality.
In the 21st-century's knowledge-based society, those experts are especially requested to be aware of
the right directions for education, to provide efficient educational aid and eventually to improve the
quality of education.
The purpose of this study was to assess the occupational competence of educational administration
experts, involving specialists in education, school administrators and people in general educational
posts, in an effort to make a suggestion about the development of human resources required by
knowledge-based society and what should be done for that.
The subjects in this study were 900 educational administration experts, on whom a survey was
conducted by mail. After their answer sheets were gathered, statistical data on frequency and
percentage were obtained, and x2 test was employed to look for intergroup gaps by gender, type of
occupation and career.
