This article is to seek new directions and alternatives for teacher preparation that meet the needs of future society. The detailed statement of the purpose is as follows: The first is to review the meta trend of changing all over the world. The second is to examine the existing limits and future possibilities of the teacher preparation system. The third is reconceptualization of issues and ideas about new emerging teachers' role. The fourth is to suggest new directions and alternatives for teacher preparation in the future. Basic Directions of teacher preparation in the future can be suggested as follows: 1) establishing holonic network system, 2) developing heuristic ability, 3) learning process of reflective thinking, 4) operating educational accountable system. This article identifies seven areas for new emphasis in teacher preparation: 1) ensuring new teachers' role and status in the age of network, 2) adjusting high-tech instruction model, 3) establishment of accountability system for teacher education, 4) empowering teaching professional for change, 5) accumulating of extended field experience programs, 6) enriching ability of inquiry and reflective thought, and 7) developing learning organization model of teacher education for preparing better teachers. In conclusion, the implementation tasks in establishing the future oriented teacher preparation system can be summarized as follows: 1) to ensure of the importance of initiative learning organization, 2) to empower teachers by allowing reflective field experience, 3) to create a culture that respects the educational authority to draw an innovation, 4) to establish a supporting system for ubiquitous knowledge-based environment, 5) to develop diverse strategics for enhancing an ability for processing information, and 6) to identify and articulate the interests and needs accompanied in the process of educational reformation.
